OVERVIEW

Sub Aqua is an MS (Modified Silicone) polymer, one component adhesive and sealant. It has high adhesive strength and high initial tack.

It does not contain silicone, solvent or isocyanate. Useable between -40oC and + 90oC.

It cures using moisture or water. Cure time depends upon moisture exposure. Max cure time is 48 Hrs. It will not cure if atmospheric moisture is not present.

BENEFITS

Ability of Sub Aqua to stick and seal in or under water is a major benefit. High initial grab. High sheer strength (using vertical lines). Semi elastic when cured (Shore 55). Over paintable (with water based paint). No shrinkage. On most substrates no primer is required.

USES

Wall cladding and ceiling panels. Drywall. Sound insulation panels. Casings and frames in building construction and repair. Wooden laths, ornaments and frames. Concrete expansion joints, statue repairs, slabs. Pool coving, paver and tile fixing. Doorsteps, window sills, skirting boards, cover plates, joist/ board interfaces. Roofing - metal and ceramic. Facades, fascias. Guttering, down pipes, metal and plastic pipe sealing and repair. Decorative panels, and much more.

APPLICATION / SAFETY

Cut cartridge applicator tip to correct opening size to suit job. Apply in strips (vertically) or dots according to weight and orientation of work to surface. Joint width/depth ratio to be 2:1.

For max adhesion, clean glass, aluminium, light alloys or any metals with alcohol or MEK prior to use. Rusted metal, clean surface with wire brush. Wood and concrete, brush off dust. Plastics, clean with mnfrs rec cleaners, before applying Sub Aqua.

Bring together asap (max 10 mins). Adjust in this window. Use white spirit or alcohol to remove excess. When dried, use knife to scrape off excess.

Do not use in confined space. Use gloves and mask and protective clothing. Refer to our Material Data Safety Sheets for all other safety related information.
